“There is something adventurous about Amber Hiscott” (Shelagh Hourahane). She has extended the potential of glass in architecture and the public domain.
Amber works to commission internationally, pushing the boundaries of architectural glass, delighting and surprising her clients: Wales Millennium Centre; Sheffield Cathedral Lantern; Razor Shells; Lambert’s Glass Factory, Germany; Casa Foa, Buenos Aires; Green Mountain Monastery, Vermont.
Amber lives in Wales, the landscape, archaeology, myths and poetry nourish her painting, drawing and making. In her gallery work, ideas emerge from creative play, taking many forms and materials. Before lockdown she exhibited in OPAM, Oita, Japan, and JKK, Jaipur, India.
