“Nestled in the alpine foothills north of Piedmont, Italy, between Turin and Aosta, is a truly magical place on earth called Damanhur. Known for the beautiful mural covered walls inside the Temples of Humankind. In a 15-kilometer area surrounding the lush, green valley of Valchiusella lives a very active, multilingual community of 600 people.”
The community steps its feet masterfully in an array of fields between science, art, and social mysticism. Every aspect of how this community communicates and celebrates life involves art. From the mural-covered cave temples to the stone color fields-this place will transform anyone who doubts the effectiveness of art in our lives.
One exciting discovery made among the Damanhur community is called Selfica better described as-
“Spiritual Technology to connect with the life-force of nature and the intelligence of the cosmos as quantum physics explores the borders of mysticism, re-defining energy and consciousness, it is becoming a part of accepted science to describe our universe as energy shaped by the thought”
Each spiraling turn in the wiring is carefully planned and structured. Led by what they say to be sacred geometric symbols, and codes that allow for communication with entities beyond the human realm. With a handful of master artists as members of the community, the results are eye-catching and thought-provoking. These fascinating structures have continued to evolve as the community’s knowledge of their use grows. I don’t know about you, but I would love to give these a try! Classes are conducted, and visitors are welcome to plan their visit to The Temples of Humankind, in Damanhur. ArtTour International had the experience of going underground during our last interview with this unique community. We fully intend to return and take a deeper scope into the role art is playing beyond the walls of these majestic temples.
