Macy Matarazzo, The Power of Healing with Love

In this Art2Heart interview, Macy Matarazzo, Love Expert, shares with us how love and healing go hand in hand. Growing up in the ’70s, for Macy, success meant climbing the corporate ladder and not needing a man in her life (but in her heart longing for Prince Charming!). She found herself in her 40’s, thriving in her corporate career, but alone. After twenty-five years of failed relationships, no proposals, and feeling like she wasted a lot of time with the “wrong” ones, she believed that if love hadn’t happened by then, it was because she was unlovable.

She decided to take control of her love life and used her business sense, neuroscience, Kundalini yoga, invested in experts and coaches, studied attachment theory, meditation, and learned tools to work with the subconscious relationship blocks. During the process, Macy discovered the magic formula to attract love without sacrificing who she is.

As she shared her experience, others found love too. She quit her six-figure gig, gave up her black & gray suits, died her hair purple (because it’s fun), and now helps singles worldwide find the one using her signature I AM SuperLOVED™ system.

How do you define yourself and what you do?

“I’m Macy, a Love & Relationship Expert AKA “Love Creator,” founder of the SuperLOVED System, helping single women get past the fears that hold them back and create a super loving relationship without sacrificing anything to get there.”

What tips do you have for artists and creative individuals suffering from stress due to the events happening in present times?

“Create! Remember, this is the superpower for transformation. We know more than anyone else how art is the gateway to healing and new possibility. Our art, music, innovation, ideas, and inspirations are the medicine the world needs now.”

What can single creative entrepreneurs do to be actively involved in their journey to companionship these times when we are home and secluded?

“Commit to doing what it takes to create connections. Find communities, classes, artists groups, volunteer opportunities. Online connections are real connections. Socially distanced connections are connections—be creative. If you would love to have someone in your life, and haven’t been able to create it on your own, get help!”

Is there something that we, as artists and creative force, can do, from the corner of our studios to create change?

“For me, it’s being present and asking myself, what would I love to create? What would create the most right now? And TRUST what that inspires in me as the perfect contribution to change.”

Tell us about your art; we know you’re also an artist?

“I love making things, painting, puppets, spaces, and experiences. Lately, I have been painting more, and it’s always been something just for me to get out of my head and having the freedom to do what makes me happy. I am drawn to a folk-art style, lots of colors, and whatever it is that will inspire amusement in me! Right now, I love painting Jel-lo salads, as you see in vintage cookbooks because it is the most whimsical, bizarre, entertaining food on the planet and makes me laugh. What if Jel-lo paintings that make people laugh is what will heal the world?!! I trust that it is.”

How do you think art can contribute to healing society at this moment?

“The world is changing, there’s lots of chaos, grief, anger, pain, and for me, this time asks us to go beyond the old and create something new. Creative thinkers and artists are the perfect stewards for innovative solutions. Whether it is expressing visually, musically, written, or through new ideas, artists have an opportunity to be the change that inspires others to see something different or feel seen in what they are going through or experience new ways of living that have not existed before.”

Spread the Love!
