About the Artist

Marty Jones
Freelance commercial artist and master designer for over 30 years, Marty Jones found little time for “serious” illustration until 1988, when a ruptured appendix and a brush with death caused him to re-evaluate his goals and priorities.
“I realized that my future wasn’t predictable; and that the Eternal has given me a talent intended to be used for the benefit of others. I then decided it was time to get “serious” about my career as an illustrator.” Jones found his faith in college as he was “loved” into the church by a group of college students. There, he not only found Jesus but found his wife of now over 44 years too.
What is Man
Jones’ illustrations are fairly eclectic, and he doesn’t specifically gear any style toward one type of illustration; however, all of his illustrations are realistically-styled. With over 7 children’s books illustrated and having created numerous illustrations for a variety of clients; including Steiner Korea, Scholastic Inc., and the Yellowstone Park Foundation, Jones has received global recognition for his continued work as a master illustrator. His work contains a large number of wildlife drawings, numerous portraits, Architectural and Technical illustrations. In 2015 I added digital publishing to my business; publishing four titles as of this writing.
The title, “Art as a Healing Force” is said to be the title of Marty Jones’s life. Art has become a way that he anchors himself down. “Creating images is how I keep myself sane.”
