Subodh Maheshwari
Subodh Maheshwari is a multimedia artist who originated in India, and is now residing in California. Being a diversified artist, she creates many different kinds of work including symbolistic pieces, florals, landscapes, and abstracts. She uses her experiences from nature, emotions, and life to dictate the way her pieces come together. Subodh’s artwork is a blend of eastern and western styles. She makes use of experiences from living in India and the USA to influence her work.

“I have made many paintings since the start of isolation, and as I have been painting I have found myself being drawn to seascapes. Now that the world is taking shelter I feel as if under the ocean is the only place on earth that is truly safe. For under the ocean surface there is only peace. All sound is muffled, and the feeling of cool refreshing water washes over you. Fish live on the coral reefs in harmony, and gravity does not weigh you down. This thought of the ocean has brought me peace, and helped relieve my stress. Even now I am making paintings about the ocean.“
