Tonantzin – Earth Day 2021

tonantzin
Earth day is over, yet our work to continue creating a global change to restore our planet has just begun.

One of the largest international Earth Day events ever, ‘Tonantzin, A Call For Mother Earth’, featured over 20 global artists discussing and creating awareness about the need for global preservation. Sponsored by Create4Peace, Artists for Green Planet, and Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN), this 6-hour broadcast not only featured inspiring interviews and commentary but an incredible art auction benefiting the organizations that are working to better our planet.

Viviana Puello, the founder of Arttour International Magazine, hosted the broadcast supporting and celebrating our amazing planet. With a panel of experts from all over the world, a global presentation of art, and international support for our Mother Earth, the event was an incredible success! The expert panelists included Aashi Mital, Aleta Antoinette, Amaya Victoria, Ameilia Hill, Barbara Tyler Ahlfield & Alexandra Ahlfield, Brenda Fraser, Edit Kiss, Heidi Leatherwood, LaNika Nichelle, Lauren DeCarli, Liz Lehman, Melissa Ross, Mische Elle, Nicole Washburn, Penelope Hayes, Sharifah Hardie, Sylvie Beljanski, Yadira & Tierney, Zenaida Mendez, Tina Foy, and Vicki England.

The studios of MNN provided a powerful experience for the thousands of viewers watching online and the thousands more that have continued to view the video online. This global live event is a catalyst to bring focus to the need to understand better the true power we each have to impact. This Earth Day event inspires each of us to dig deeper in our understanding of our home planet. It also helps us see all of the creative elements brought together to support Earth Day, and ‘Tonantzin, A Call For Mother Earth’ gives each of us a chance to be part of a global moment honoring our planet.

During this exciting 6 hour event, ‘Tonantzin, A Call For Mother Earth’, international artists featured their art, not just to honor the earth, but to bring awareness to the true environmental problems facing our planet and a chance to share the advocacy needed to save her.

Host and visionary Viviana Puello shared,

“It is critical that we cut global greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and hold global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, and this is not an easy task. It’s going to require all of us to get involved, adopting new environmentally-friendly lifestyles. We need to support climate activists advocating for our planet and keep pressure on our leaders and key decision-makers; this is a critical moment. We have 30 years to work and make this happen so that our next generations can have a planet to call home. The time to start this work is now. “

Puello speaks the truth and has brought a beautiful celebration of mother earth to give us all hope and direction in creating a healthier place for us all.
