Marek Abstractblue is a self-taught artist who has been passionate about the arts since childhood, enchanted by his mother’s world of paintings. After living in London for almost 30 years and working as a musician, he decided to take a different path in 2004 and dedicate himself to the arts. During this time, he lived in the London Brick Lane/Shoreditch area and often visited art galleries to explore different art styles. This experience gave him the foundation to start his journey as an artist and develop his unique abstract style.
Marek Abstractblue’s art creation process is spontaneous and driven by social stimuli and the impermanence of time. He believes that true inspiration comes from external forces and is not controlled by the artist.
Marek often starts his pieces with abstract concepts, but as he works on the painting, the idea evolves and takes on a life of its own. As a result, his artwork is full of unpredictability and surprise. He only knows how the painting will turn out once it’s finished.
